  • Dual-Reduction Architecture

    Smart and strong

    Spiral and helical gears significantly reduce stress and gear face pressure through the carriers. The spiral bevel gears provide rolling friction instead of the sliding friction, reducing frictional power loss.

    • Top-Loading Axle Carriers

      A quieter, smoother drive

      Connecting to the drive shaft above the axle greatly reduces driveline angles to cut down on noise, vibrations and harmonics and provides a longer input seal life.

      • Driver-Controlled Differential Lock

        Never backs down

        Instead of becoming immobile when traction is lost, Mack’s optional driver-controlled differential lock features independent or joint control to transfer power to axles with traction.

      • Inter-Axle Power Divider

        Ready for anything

        Mack carriers incorporate a full-time power divider, which biases torque to the axle that has more traction. An optional power divider lockout is available for off-road and on-road ice and snow conditions.
